The Bike and Fire
On Thursday, my group went to the house of Dr. Mathias for bike riding and archery. The bike riding was a good and relevant experience because I had not ridden a bike in well over a year before this class. It is important for me to get back in bike shape and have good endurance on a bike, especially if I want to pass the advanced assessment. Also, biking is always helpful because it is a life long physical activity and it can get people from place to place as well. I really liked the trail we took. It had good uphill and down hill areas, as well as obstacles. The course really allowed me to work on different skills and improve my endurance as well. I also really liked the archery. It was a unique experience and really a lot of fun. I had not gotten the opportunity to work on archery before, and I really enjoyed the new experience. I hope to have more chances to practice archery in the future.
Frisbee

On Tuesday, we worked on Frisbee skills in our class. I really enjoyed this a lot. I hope to use Frisbee and play games like Ultimate Frisbee in my classes. I think it is important to be able to perform throws and catches in Frisbee and enjoy Frisbee games because Frisbee can be a lifelong activity where people can get good physical activity and help stay in shape for years. I just wish the weather would have been better, because it was really hard to asses our skills and really see how well we were throwing when the wind was so strong and would blow the Frisbee wherever it wanted to. I now know all of the correct form and knowing how to practice both kinds of throws. This is very useful because in Frisbee games it is important to be able to execute both types of throws.

Skates and Climbing
For class Thursday, we went over first inline skating and then rock climbing. I really enjoyed participating in both of these activities. I didn't think I would sweat so much or get as good of a workout as I did in either on of the activities. I really had fun with the activities and learned new and interesting things. I had done a lot of skating as a kid, so that came back to me naturally. I really liked the opportunity to refresh my skills in inline skating, as well as learn new things like how to skate backwards. I also liked the obstacle course because it gave me a chance to assess my skills and see if I was where I needed to be. As for rock climbing I hadn't really done much of it before, and it was a lot of fun and a very good workout. I learned a lot of helpful cues to help be become a better rock climber, because I was really struggling at it. I really liked the challenge, and I really liked the teamwork and communication element as well. We got into groups and did fun activities like having partners tell us where we needed to go next. This was great because it worked on both our physical and mental strength.

First impression of Movement 3
I was not in the class for the first day because at was at the AAHPERD conference for Physical Education in Tampa Bay, Florida. However, we had a meeting last quarter where the syllabus and calendar for Movement 3 were given to us. I had many different thoughts about the class when I first heard about it. For one, I was pretty excited about all of the fun and unique experiences that we were going to get to have in the class. Items like rock climbing, biking, juggling, and inline skating were some of the activities that seemed like they would be a lot of fun as well as good experiences to help me become more fit and learn more skills. All of the activities seemed like they would be a lot of fun and really unique experiences of things I haven't had many opportunities to practice before; the class seemed like a unique experience. On the other side, I was worried about the assessment for all of the skills, many of which being skills I had never attempted before. I was worried that my skill level in all eleven items may not be sufficient and I was worried that could negatively affect my grade.
