Skates and Climbing
For class Thursday, we went over first inline skating and then rock climbing. I really enjoyed participating in both of these activities. I didn't think I would sweat so much or get as good of a workout as I did in either on of the activities. I really had fun with the activities and learned new and interesting things. I had done a lot of skating as a kid, so that came back to me naturally. I really liked the opportunity to refresh my skills in inline skating, as well as learn new things like how to skate backwards. I also liked the obstacle course because it gave me a chance to assess my skills and see if I was where I needed to be. As for rock climbing I hadn't really done much of it before, and it was a lot of fun and a very good workout. I learned a lot of helpful cues to help be become a better rock climber, because I was really struggling at it. I really liked the challenge, and I really liked the teamwork and communication element as well. We got into groups and did fun activities like having partners tell us where we needed to go next. This was great because it worked on both our physical and mental strength.
